(Brown św) Specimens over 1m. Long thallus, compressed fronds, air bladders like mustard seed pods.

Serrated Wrack

Fucus Serratus (Brown św) Specimens around 35cm and bushy. Flattened fronds with mid-rib and serrated edges. No bladders.

Bladder Wrack

Fucus Vesiculosus (Brown św) Specimens around 30cm. Fronds flat with mid-rib branch to give bushy effect. Egg-like air bladders in pairs either side of minor branches

Knotted Wrack

Ascophyllum Nodosum (Brown św) Specimens 100cm. Long flattened fronds have no mid-rib. Large egg-shaped air bladders within the main frond and smaller ones attached by stems.
